Mesa police were investigating a woman’s death as a possible homicide, officials said Tuesday.

Officers responded to a suspicious-death call at theĀ Colonade Motel, 5440 E. Main St., police said. Police did not specify when the call came in, but said Tuesday that investigators had been at the scene “overnight.”

The victim is an adult female, and police said a man who reported the death is considered anĀ investigative lead.

The death is believed to be drug-related, police said.

No arrests had been made as of late Tuesday afternoon, police said.
