A 53-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday when another car crashed into her vehicle, which was stopped in a driveway on Baseline Road, Phoenix police said.
Police suspect that alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash, and criminal charges are pending the results of the investigation, Sgt. Alan Pfohl said in a news release.
The incident happened about 6 a.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of West Baseline Road, police said.
A 21-year-old man was speeding on westbound Baseline when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the woman’s car, police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she remained Sunday. Police said the man also suffered serious injuries.
