Last season, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ uniforms were a major topic of discussion.

Will the discussion be quieter this season?

In November, the team announced some tweaks to their uniforms for this season.

YOUR TAKE: Reaction to D-Backs’ uniforms changes

Among the changes:

  • The gradient coloration that the team used at the bottom of their pants is gone.
  • The stripe up the side of the pants now extends to the waist rather than stopping mid-leg.
  • The jersey tops also have more teal around the names and numbers, making them more visible.
  • The team is also wearing their black “A” cap as their main cap this season.
  • Uni Watch’s Paul Lukas notes that the team’s primary road jersey will now have sand lettering on the player’s names, not red and that the front number and back lettering of the team’s road alternate jersey will how have teal with black outlining (instead of black with teal outlining).

YOUR TAKE: Diamondbacks road uniforms have supporters after all

“We were listening to fans and players on the changes they wanted us to make,” Diamondbacks CEO Derrick Hall said in November. “We knew about a month into the season that we were going to end up making these changes.”
