Interstate 10 at 59th Avenue in Phoenix has reopened early, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

All westbound lanes in the area were closed for most of the weekend as part of a construction project.

ADOT said a 100-foot crane will set up temporary steel beams to support a future flyover bridge that will connect I-10 westbound to the future Loop 202-South Mountain Freeway.

According to ADOT, “the Loop 202 freeway, also known as the South Mountain Freeway, will run east and west along Pecos Road and then turn north between 55th and 63rd avenues, connecting with Interstate 10 on each end.”
