Chandler Hamilton’s football team will move on without cornerback Cole Martin and running back/cornerback Deshaun Buchanan, who both have withdrawn from the school, according to sources.

Martin, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, is The Arizona Republic‘s top-ranked prospect in the Top 100 2023 list. He also is a talented punt returner who made the All-Arizona team, leading the Huskies to the Open Division championship game. Martin’s scholarship offers include Arizona State, USC, Oregon and Notre Dame.

Martin has started at cornerback on Hamilton’s varsity since his freshman year.

Buchanan, 5-10, 175, who picked up an offer from Northern Arizona last week, is ranked No. 22 in the Top 100.

“We wish them well,” Hamilton coach Mike Zdebski said. “We’re moving on and focusing on the team. We’ve got plenty of players. We’re a good team. That’s because we have depth.”

Neither Martin nor Buchanan have responded to messages from The Republic.

It’s not certain which high school they are headed to.
