Authorities are seeking information after a teen was severely injured in a hit-and-run boating incident on Bartlett Lake on Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a speedboat collided with a 15-year-old male operating a personal watercraft, said Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

The teen was severely injured and was being assisted by nearby patrons when the speedboat and its occupants left the scene, Enriquez said.

Deputies are looking to speak with the owner and operator of the boat, he said.

The speedboat is described as light gray, with charcoal and black tones and a black canopy top.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident was asked to contact the MCSO at 602-875-1011.
