The Phoenix Suns have the fourth pick in Thursday’s NBA draft and azcentral sports has covered the team throughout the process. This is your home for NBA draft coverage.

The latest NBA draft news

Rumors abound, but Suns say they like players they’ll see at No. 4

On Monday morning, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said the team is “very comfortable” with the No. 4 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft.

But a lot can change in 72 hours.

McDonough pointed out that on the Monday of last year’s draft the team felt it had no chance to acquire a second top-eight pick. By Thursday morning the Suns and Sacramento Kings had worked out the parameters of a deal that resulted in Phoenix acquiring forward Marquese Chriss with the No. 8 pick.

The rumors are flying about potential pre-draft moves this season, but McDonough said that compared to his deal for Chriss last year it’s “less likely” the Suns move up.

McDonough talks to media

Suns general manager Ryan McDonough held a pre-draft press conference Monday. Here are some of the highlights:

McDonough said it’s “less likely” the Suns will try to trade up from their current No. 4 spot. That’s in contrast to a report from ESPN’s Chad Ford, who said the Suns are trying to move up in order to take UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball.

Interestingly, Ball is the one top prospect who has not worked out for Phoenix, but McDonough said that wouldn’t preclude the Suns from taking Ball.

McDonough said Phoenix will take the “best player available” with the No. 4 pick and added the team is targeting guards and wing players.

NBA MOCK DRAFTS: Changes for Suns after 76ers trade with Celtics?

Sixers-Celtics trade could work out well for Suns

The weekend’s Boston-Philadelphia trade could work out well for the Suns. If you missed it, the Celtics and 76ers agreed in principle to swap the No. 1 and No. 3 selections in Thursday’s draft. Future first-round picks also are involved, but for now let’s discuss how this affects the Suns, who have the fourth pick in Thursday’s NBA draft.

Will the Suns meet with Lonzo Ball in the final days before the draft?

After all the speculation and rumors, the end is almost here. Which direction will Phoenix go Thursday?

What a 3-minute sprint can tell the Suns about NBA prospects

After scouting games for an entire season and putting candidates through a pre-draft workout, NBA draft prospects get 3 minutes to impress the Suns.

Gonzaga’s Zach Collins shows off intensity in Suns pre-draft workout

There’s nothing finesse about Collins. Despite ranking seventh in minutes, he attempted 148 free throws. According to Ken Pomeroy’s advanced stats, Collins drew an estimated 6.5 fouls per 40 minutes, which ranked 48th nationally.

Suns work out Duke’s Jayson Tatum in Los Angeles
