Police have an increased presence in a Tempe neighborhood after a male driver approached a student on Friday morning.
According to Tempe police, a student was running to a bus stop at Alexander Boulevard and La Rosa Drive in Warner Ranch when a man drove up to him in a dark blue hatchback car and offered the student a ride.
Police said the student ignored the man and kept running toward other children.
Police described the man as being in his 30s. He wore glasses and had gel-styled medium-length hair. Police said he does not have facial hair, piercings or tattoos.
Tempe police are following up on the incident.
