Sedona firefighters rescued three people stranded in a flooded creek Saturday.

Three people were stuck on an island in the middle of Oak Creek at Crescent Moon Ranch State Park following a monsoon storm, officials said.

The trio had been attempting to cross the creek when the water started rising, stranding them on the island. It was not clear whether they had been stuck on the small patch of land for the duration of the storm.

Fire crews were able to bring all three safely across the creek.
