A Scottsdale man who barricaded himself after police said he assaulted another person has been arrested.

Police said 39-year-old Brian Holm is facing an aggravated assault charge.

According to Scottsdale police, officers responded to the area of Indian School Road and Marshall Way shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday and learned that a man had assaulted another man with a baseball bat.

Police said the man then went into a building under renovation and refused to respond to police commands to leave the structure. SWAT personnel later came and arrested the man around 6:15 a.m., according to police. 

Police said the assault victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
