Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration
It’s all about the red, white and cool at this year’s Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld where the event is being held in the fully air-conditioned Tony Nelssen Equestrian Center.
“Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration is special because it’s Arizona’s only indoor 4th of July. With temperatures surpassing 100 degrees, we’re excited to offer families 300,000 square feet of air-conditioned space filled with live entertainment all afternoon, from the Kids Play Zone to the bull riding competition, we’ve got something for everyone. And, of course, fireworks, too,” says Kerry Dunne, spokesperson for event presenter R Entertainment.
The fireworks are set to go off at 9 p.m. with a guest viewing area just outside the air-conditioned North Hall, but until then there are plenty of fun activities to keep everyone entertained.
There is a 35-foot tall slide, obstacle courses, carnival rides and a kiddie ferris wheel. For the little ones there is a Western town playland, stagecoach bounce and slide and mini obstacle course.
Live entertainment includes a stunt-dog show put on by Stunt Dog Productions, a bull-riding show and mutton busting put on by Dirty Money Cattle Company and a Stunt Masters BMX show. In addition, there will be game trucks, pony rides, a petting zoo and Olympic Village games for the entire family.
A princess and superhero meet and greet will include Moana, Belle, Spiderman and Wonder Woman.
Plenty of food and drink will also be available to purchase.
Details: 3-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. $6-$25. Free for children 5 and under. Family packs and fireworks only tickets available. scottsdale4th.com.
