The National Weather Services is forecasting scattered storms in the southwest valley starting tonight and headed into Monday.

The Southwest Valley can expect to see high winds and thunderstorms, according to Marvin Percha, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

The NWS issued a special weather statement for Maricopa and Pinal counties, warning of wind reaching up to 30 mph with blowing dust and a probability of low visibility.

For Labor Day, the NWS forecast possible scattered storms and showers in the morning.
