A man shot during an early-morning confrontation at a Phoenix strip club Saturday has died, according to Phoenix police.

Police identified the man as 26-year-old James Oliver Tuner.

Phoenix police said the shooting occurred in the area of 17th Street and McDowell Road at about 4:30 a.m. when two groups of male patrons got into a confrontation. The fight was broken up when one of the groups was asked to leave, police said.

Five minutes later, a man entered the bar, fired several shots and then shot Tuner before fleeing, police said.

Tuner was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

No arrests have yet been made and police are still seeking the shooter.

Phoenix police have urged anyone with information to contact the department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
