A car crashed into a Phoenix police vehicle leaving one officer injured late Friday night.
The incident took place at about 11 p.m. at the intersection on 15th Avenue and Washington Street, according to Phoenix Police Department. The driver was identified as 53-year-old Erik Cohen.
Police said the accident happened after Cohen ran a red light traveling south at the intersection and crashed into the patrol car.
The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The officer’s identity was not released.
Cohen was arrested under charges of DUI and Extreme DUI, police said
