Crews battled two separate attic fires within a few hours of each other Monday afternoon, the Phoenix Fire Department said.
The first fire occurred about 1:30 p.m., in the 4300 block of North 82nd Drive, fire officials said.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the home’s attic and were able to stop it from spreading into other areas of the home, officials said.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The second fire occurred about two hours later, in the 3000 block of South 85th Drive, Phoenix fire officials said.
The fire spread from the home’s attic to the second floor of the house before firefighters got it under control, officials said.
There were no injuries reported.
The causes of both fires remained under investigation Monday afternoon.
