Police identified a woman who was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of fatally shooting her boyfriend as 23-year-old Maureen Wahl, according to Phoenix officials.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday near 16th Street and Thomas Road, according to Phoenix Police Department. They found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the location.

A woman, later identified as Wahl, was also at the location when police arrived. Wahl was in a relationship with the victim, police said.

While investigating the shooting, police developed enough probable cause to arrest Wahl on suspicion of manslaughter, according to police.

The victim’s name was not released by police.

Wahl was booked into a Maricopa County jail where she is being held on $100,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
