A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in his driveway Thursday afternoon, Phoenix police said.

The shooting occurred in the area of 1000 W. Oraibi St. in Phoenix, which is southwest of Loop 101 and Seventh Avenue, police said.

Police responded to a call about a shooting at around 2:20 pm and found the victim wounded in his driveway.

The 25-year-old was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
