A man was arrested on Saturday in connection with the death of his mother in north Phoenix, police said.
The woman’s son, 34-year-old Nashwan Yousif, was arrested the following day in connection with her death, according to Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
Yousif was interviewed by police and “they were able to develop probable cause that he committed the murder,” Thompson said.
He faces charges of second-degree murder and probation violation, according to Thompson.
