The Coyotes will begin the 2017-18 season Thursday, Oct.5, on the road against the Ducks before hosting the league’s newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, in their home opener Saturday, Oct.7, at 6 p.m. at Gila River Arena.

Arizona is 14-5-1 in its home openers since the team moved to the Valley.

The Coyotes will also play in Vegas’ home opener Tuesday, Oct.10, at 7 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena. Their regular-season schedule ends April 7 at home against the Ducks.

Start times for all weekday home games will be 7 p.m. All Saturday home games will start at 6 p.m. except for Nov.11 against the Jets (8 p.m.) and Feb.17 against the Oilers (2 p.m.). The Coyotes will play a pair of Sunday home games against the Canucks (Feb.25 at 7:30 p.m. and March 11 at 6 p.m.).

Arizona will play four games against most of its Pacific Division rivals – Anaheim, Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, San Jose and Vancouver. The team will face Vegas five times for a total of 29 games within the division. It’ll play the other Western Conference teams three times each and will meet each of the Eastern Conference squads twice, once at home and once on the road.

The Coyotes’ longest homestand of the season will be seven games, starting Feb.15 against the Canadiens and ending March 3 against the Senators. They’ll go on a season-long six-game road trip March 21-29 with stops in Buffalo, Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay, Vegas and Los Angeles.

Their busiest month is March with 17 games (eight at home and nine on the road). The schedule features 13 back-to-backs.

The team will go on its bye week Jan.7-11, getting five days off between games. Later that month, the NHL will host the All-Star Game Jan.28 in Tampa.

Arizona will also play seven preseason games in preparation for the 2017-18 season, including one in Tucson.

The Coyotes’ schedule begins Sept. 18 against the Kings at Gila River Arena. The team will then play a pair of road games, visiting the Ducks in Anaheim Sept. 20 before moving on to Calgary to face the Flames Sept. 22.

After that, the Coyotes host the Sharks Sept. 23 and then will take on the Ducks Sept. 25 at Tucson Arena where the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, plays.

The team’s preseason schedule wraps up on the road with the Coyotes in Los Angeles Sept. 28 to square off against the Kings and then San Jose Sept. 30 to meet the Sharks.
