Looking for somewhere to celebrate this Fourth of July? The Valley offers a variety of venues to choose from to enjoy a plethora of celebratory activities, including fireworks.
No matter where you call home, there’s a Fourth of July spectacular right in your backyard. We will be rolling out one of four picks each day, leading up to July 4.
July 4th Fireworks Spectacular
It’s not just about the fireworks at Chandler’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular where there will be plenty of food, games, live entertainment and fun throughout the evening.
“Chandler makes the event about more than just fireworks, although that’s a big part of the evening,” says Jim Phipps, Chandler spokesperson. “The event is held at one of the East Valley’s premiere parks, Tumbleweed Park, with Playtopia, sand volleyball, horseshoes, corn hole games and barbecues, plus acres of green grass.”
Musicians, including People Who Can Fly and Blaine Long, will be performing from 5 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m. After 8:30 p.m., a DJ will be in charge until 10:30 p.m.
People Who Can Fly is an indie pop band who has performed with national acts including Rick Springfield and Howard Jones. They are releasing their third EP late this summer.
Blaine Long was on season 11 “The Voice” on which he got a three-chair judge turn. He puts out an album a year.
Besides the great music, there will be plenty to keep guests busy: laser tag, a face painter, a balloon artist, inflatable archery, basketball shootout, football, Western shooting, a Lego trackless train and an inflatable car wash that people can walk through and cool off while they get misted with water.
There will also be an air-conditioned trailer with video games called Game on Wheelz for all levels of gamers.
Fireworks will go off at 9 p.m.
