Hiker rescued from snowy Arizona peak was trying to win pizza

A Coconino County Sheriff’s Office statement said a man wanted to hike up Mount Elden near Flagstaff early in the morning, despite heavy snow conditions, so he could arrive at the top before the cutoff time “to qualify for a free pizza sponsored by a local business.”
