It’s still more than six months away, but Phoenix Comicon has already announced its first celebrity guests. And Marvel fans will be happy.

Three stars from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” superhero films will appear at the con in May: Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn. Passes to the three-day convention, which takes place May 24-27 at the Phoenix Convention Center, will go on sale Dec. 15. Attendees can start making reservations at the host hotels on Nov. 17

Dave Bautista is Drax, a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Drax comes from a primitive race and has superhuman strength, durability and agility, and a regenerative healing factor. Bautista’s Drax will appear next in 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War.” Bautista is a semi-retired wrestler for the WWE, competing under the ring name Batista. He has also appeared in “Blade Runner 2049,” “Spectre” and “Riddick.” He will be at Phoenix Comicon on Saturday only.

Michael Rooker plays Yondu Udonta in the Marvel movies, leader of the Ravagers and father figure to Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord. Rooker is also known for his role on the popular TV show “The Walking Dead,” playing villainous survivor Merle on the first three seasons of the series. Rooker will be at all three days of Phoenix Comicon.

Sean Gunn plays Kraglin in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” who is Yondu Udonta’s first mate in the Ravagers. Gunn will appear in “Avengers: Infinity War.” He is also known for his role as Kirk Gleason on The CW series “Gilmore Girls” and the revival miniseries on Netflix, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” released in 2016. He is the brother of James Gunn, who directed both “Guardians of Galaxy” films. Sean Gunn will be at all three days of Phoenix Comicon.

Details: May 24-27. Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. Third St. Passes on sale Dec. 15.
