Glendale police are asking for assistance from the public in locating an armed robber.

The incident happened at a business in a shopping center near the 5900 block of West Northern Avenue just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

“When he was confronted by store employees, he pulled out a handgun,” said Sgt. Scott Waite, spokesman for Glendale Police Department. “The subject did leave northbound.”

The man drove out of the shopping center heading northbound in what witnesses at the scene described as a gray sedan that had a white bike on the back.

The armed robber is described as a Hispanic male, between the age of 25 and 35. Witnesses described him as wearing a black shirt, with blue jeans and a black hat.
