If you like to celebrate the Fourth of July by taking in a spectacular fireworks display, you might be in luck this year.

At this time last year, much of Arizona was experiencing extreme drought conditions that forced the cancellations of many traditional celebrations. A relatively wet winter has eased those drought conditions for the most part, and fireworks are a go this year, at least at this moment.

It doesn’t mean it will stay that way, however, as things have begun to dry up again. Keep an eye on whatever festivities you plan to attend to make sure the event will go off as planned.

Here are Independence Day celebrations throughout metro Phoenix.
