SEATTLE – Bruce Arians insisted he doesn’t yet know if Sunday’s 26-24 victory over the Seahawks was his last as Cardinals head coach, but his red eyes and the emotion evident when he talked about this season suggested otherwise.
“Nothing’s changed, nothing’s been decided,” Arians said of his future. “I’m not going to drag it out because it’s not fair to people if I do decide (to retire).”
The victory was Arians’ 50th with the Cardinals, more than any other coach in franchise history.
Arians was emotional, he said, because the Cardinals finished 8-8 despite being hampered by injuries to key players such as running back David Johnson, quarterback Carson Palmer and outside linebacker Markus Golden.
Players will clean out their lockers on Monday and meet with coaches. Arians will meet with General Manager Steve Keim at 10 a.m., and team president Michael Bidwill also will be present. In past years, Arians has met with reporters later in the morning after the final game of the season.
