The National Weather Service sent a dust storm warning for Maricopa and Pinal County areas on Sunday evening.

A storm hit near Casa Grande, Ariz., shortly after 7 p.m. and created low visibility and harsh freeway conditions on Interstate 10 from Casa Grande to south Phoenix, according to National Weather Service meteorologist James Sawtelle.

The warning was replaced by a blowing dust advisory in Phoenix until 10 p.m.

There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms Sunday night until Monday night in the Phoenix area, the Weather Service says. Temperatures will remain slightly below 110 degrees.
