The National Weather Service has issued a dust storm advisory for parts of the Phoenix metro area Wednesday night.

The advisory is in effect until 9:30 p.m., and includes an area of the Southeast Valley, including Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek.

The advisory also includes parts of northern Pinal County, as well as the Interstate 10 corridor between Phoenix and Casa Grande.

The advisory says blowing dust could reduce visibility to less than a mile.

The weather service said the nearest thunderstorm activity was concentrated in areas north of Tucson and in Gila County west of the Valley.

An urban flood and small stream flood advisory is in place until 10:15 p.m. for areas of north Tucson and Marana around the Interstate 10 corridor.
