The Arizona Hemophilia Association announced that its second Downtown Phoenix Zombie Walk will be Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 3 to 11 p.m.

This will be the ninth annual Zombie Walk, but the second hosted by the volunteer-based non-profit organization that strives to improve the lives of families affected by bleeding disorders. The group posted a video from last year with the Zombie Walk date on its Facebook page on July 25.

The annual event was launched by Downtown Phoenix Inc. in 2009 and grew into an invasion that attracted 20,000 participants in 2015. At first the Zombie Walk was canceled in 2016 due to low staff and budget, but the Arizona Hemophilia Association and Downtown Phoenix, Inc. revived the event in time for October.

There is already a live Facebook event for the Zombie Walk.

More details will be announced in the future.

Details: 3-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. 602-254-8696, dtphx.org.
