Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office divers have retrieved the body of a man who went underwater at Bartlett Lake and never resurfaced.

The 20-year-old man drowned near Rattlesnake Cove, according to Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez.

He went underwater just after noon. Enriquez said the man’s family reported he was not a good swimmer.

Enriquez said no foul play is suspected. Officials have not released the man’s identity.

MCSO Divers have recovered the body of an adult male in his 20’s that drowned earlier today at Bartlett Lake near rattlesnake cove.
