A body was found in the front yard of a Phoenix home on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Phoenix police officers were sent to a home near Southern and 35th avenues around 2 p.m. and found the body of an adult, Sgt. Armando Carbajal said.

Phoenix police did not confirm if the victim was a male or female.

Carbajal said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
