The Phoenix Fire Department responded to calls of a bee attack on Monday evening.

When crews arrived at the scene near 14th Street and McDowell Road about 6:45 p.m., they saw two men running from a swarm, the Phoenix Fire Department said.

Firefighters used water and foam in the area while treating the two men who were stung. One of the men, along with a firefighter, were taken to a hospital to be evaluated for multiple bee stings, fire officials said.

The bees have since cleared the area, officials added.
