Arkansas edges Seton Hall in 8-9 game
The No. 8 Razorbacks trailed by eight with less than nine minutes left, but rallied to beat Seton Hall 77-71. Arkansas will play the winner of North Carolina and Texas Southern.
Meaningless shot not so meaningless for bettors
Down four points, Oklahoma State guard Jawun Evans hit a three-pointer at the buzzer against Michigan. While inconsequential in the final score (92-91 Wolverines), it great news for those who put money on the Cowboys. The Wolverines entered the game as a 2.5-point favorite, meaning the 10th-seeded Cowboys covered the spread.
Block of the year?
Arkansas’ Moses Kingsley denied Seton Hall’s Desi Rodriguez at the rim:
Baylor runs away from New Mexico State
The No. 14 Aggies led third-seeded Baylor at halftime but were blown out in the second half, losing 91-73 against the Bears.
Michigan moves on
The Wolverines were 16-for-29 on three-pointers (11-for-15 in the second half), beating Oklahoma State 92-91 to advance to the second round. Michigan will meet the winner of Louisville and Jacksonville State.
Michael Phelps gets in on the madness
The all-time most decorated Olympian said last year that his son – less than a year old – will be going to Michigan, so it’s no surprise to see the swimmer show his support during the Wolverines’ game:
Another Baylor upset brewing?
No. 14 New Mexico State leads No. Baylor 40-38 at halftime in Tulsa. Remember that the Bears lost in the first round as a No. 3 seed in 2015 and as a No. 5 in 2016.
Also, their mascots had a dance-off:
