The Arizona Wildcats are one win away from advancing to the Women’s College World Series.

The No. 2-seeded Arizona won the first game of its NCAA Super Regional on Friday night, beating No. 15-seed Baylor 3-2.

The Wildcats won the game on a walk-off single, with the bases loaded, from freshman Jessie Harper, scoring outfielder Mandie Perez.

Arizona led 2-0 for most of the game until the Bears hit a leadoff triple and home run back-to-back in the sixth inning off Arizona pitcher Danielle O’Toole to the tie the game.

UA third baseman Katiyana Mauga hit the 92nd home run of her career in the third inning, putting her just three off the NCAA record of 95. Mauga also scored on a double from shortstop Mo Mercado in the first inning.

The Wildcats will try to close out the best-of-three Super Regional at Hillenrband on Saturday night at 6.
