Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a man facing several charges who cut off his GPS monitoring device in Tempe on Monday, according to Silent Witness.

Phoenix police Sgt. James Rothschild said 37-year-old Alan Donato Feliciano originally faced charges of failing to register as a sex offender, aggravated DUI and identity theft.

He now is wanted for a probation violation after cutting off the device near Southern Avenue and Country Club Way in Tempe on Monday, police said.

Rothschild said Feliciano is accused of committing crimes in five states.

Feliciano might pose a flight risk and has talked about fleeing to Mexico or Cuba, Rothschild said.

Rothschild said Feliciano might be traveling with his girlfriend and that he’s been known to carry a gun.

Maricopa County’s Adult Probation Office is seeking the public’s help in finding Feliciano.

Feliciano is 5 feet 5 inches, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo that says “Chee” on his left arm and “Alan Jr.” on his right arm, Rothschild said.

Rothschild urged the public not to approach Feliciano if they spot him, but to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS instead.
