Phillies update: The first-place Phillies took a four-game win streak into their Sunday afternoon finale against the Miami Marlins, whom they were looking to sweep in a four-game series. They are 21-12 since June 27, going from 2 1/2 games back in the NL East to atop the division. The Phillies’ rotation has been strong, ranking fourth in the NL with a 3.76 ERA. RHP Aaron Nola, whom the Diamondbacks will miss this weekend, is a Cy Young Award candidate; he has a 2.35 ERA in 142 innings, with 38 walks and 142 strikeouts. LF Rhys Hoskins is having an impressive year, with a .267/.378/.523 line and 22 homers. CF Odubel Herrera has a career-high 19 homers. RF Nick Williams is hitting .317/.389/.525 since the start of July. The Phillies acquired C Wilson Ramos in a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays prior to the deadline but he has yet to play due to a hamstring issue. He is expected to return from the DL sometime this month.

Godley was dominant against the Rangers on Tuesday, giving up just two hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings, striking out a season-high 10. … Godley had a somewhat uneven July, posting a 4.15 ERA, logging three quality starts out of six. … Godley hasn’t faced the Phillies since last year, when he gave up one run in 5 2/3 innings in a June start. … Arrieta is having a solid first season with the Phillies and is coming off a particularly strong July, in which he posted a 2.80 ERA in six starts, all of which were games the Phillies won. … He threw very well against the Red Sox in his most recent start, allowing just one run in seven innings with no walks and seven strikeouts. … He gave up three runs (one earned) in seven innings in a win over the Diamondbacks on April 25.
