As Archie Bradley walked out of the Diamondbacks’ clubhouse Wednesday to do some pre-game work, he was asked how his phone was doing.

“It’s still blowing up,” he said with a smile.

No surprise there. Bradley’s emotional outburst in the eighth inning of the Diamondbacks’ 6-3 victory over the Dodgers Tuesday – “This is our house! Let’s go!” – went viral in the hours after the game.

One edited photo making the rounds had Bradley’s face on the body of a warrior from the film “300.” Former major-league pitcher Dontrelle Willis retweeted a video of Bradley, adding, “Yeah, I like this! Gotta show some fight!”

And Suns guard Devin Booker, who inspired Bradley’s eruption with his own “This is our house” defiance when the Suns didn’t let Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook achieve a record-setting triple double late last season, retweeted another video of Bradley at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday with one word: “Respect.”

Hours later, surrounded in the clubhouse once again, Bradley said he had no regrets about his words or actions.

“I saw the Dontrelle Willis tweet,” he said. “That kind of pumped me up a little bit. Like I said, you can’t fake that stuff. What came out last night was laying inside and I felt the moment and kind of let it out. … Maybe some people took offense to it. I don’t know and I really don’t care.

“I’m still getting some pretty good tweets from Dodger fans. Like I said, ‘Keep them coming.’ They’re entertaining me.”

Bradley said he became a Booker fan when he attended the Suns-Thunder game in late April. The two athletes don’t know each other, but the Diamondbacks are having a Suns Night promotion on Sept. 12 and Bradley hopes to meet Booker then.

Maybe they’ll discuss their emotional side.

“I can’t think of many times I’ve really let my emotions go like I did (Tuesday) night,” Bradley said. “Because there’s a time and a place for everything, and the last thing I want to do is be disrespectful or show somebody up. That’s not what that was about. Just one of those things when you feel it inside. I could feel the crowd. It was a moment and I wanted to live it.

“I’m not ashamed of it or sorry about it. I think we need a little bit more of that.”

Baseball always has had a stiff upper lip, and the Diamondbacks are no exception. For the most part, their clubhouse is made up of quiet, studious players. Bradley joked that the only time Paul Goldschmidt would show that kind of emotion is when Arizona wins the World Series.

Bradley, on the other hand, brings a football player’s mentality to the game, no surprise given he was a highly recruited quarterback out of Oklahoma. Because his teammates know his passion is genuine rather than orchestrated, they welcome his wild side.

“We are a humble, hard-working group,” manager Torey Lovullo said. “We like that. We want that to be our reputation. But every once in a while, it’s nice to have a little personality jump up at you and attract a lot of attention and drum up some interest from the fans and the hometown.

“We’re proud of what we do here, we want to make the entire state of Arizona proud of what we’re doing, and I think Archie was trying to express that.”

Lovullo said he wanted to jump on Bradley’s back as he walked off the field.

“I felt that rush Archie had,” he said. “I wanted to do the same thing he was doing. If you didn’t appreciate that moment and appreciate what was going on, then you’re not really a true sports fan. I think the fans felt that, the entire dugout felt that and Archie certainly displayed it the exact way that we all wanted to.”

Bradley said that shortly after he got home Tuesday – he’s roommates with Lamb – he got tired of the constant pings on his phone, so he connected it to his charger and went to bed.

The pings kept coming Wednesday.

“A lot of support from D-Backs fans and a lot of hate from Dodger fans,” Bradley said. “But that’s the way you want it, right?”
