Aaron Judge crushed his first home run since winning the Home Run Derby so hard that he apparently actually broke Statcast.
It happened in the fifth inning of the Yankees-Mariners game on Friday night. The ball Judge hit almost flew all the way out of Safeco Field, and the Yankees were pretty proud that even the MLB couldn’t figure out how far it went.
They tweeted the video with the caption, “The home run that broke Statcast.”
Additionally, the Yankees tweeted at the Statcast account and asked if they’re OK. Usually a measurement of some sort is made known fairly shortly after the play.
The Yankees had great tweets after that monster homer.
Fans on Twitter also freaked out a bit.
Incredible.
