Former Boise State standout and free agent Chandler Hutchison signed a two-way contract with the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
The signing of Hutchison occurred three days after he was waived by the San Antonio Spurs.
Phoenix will be the fourth NBA team for the 6-foot-6, 210-pound forward. Hutchison was drafted by the Chicago Bulls out of Boise State as the 22nd overall pick in 2018.
The 25-year-old former Mountain West Player of the Year has averaged 5.7 points on 44.1% shooting and 3.8 rebounds in 18.2 minutes through 97 games appearances, including 25 starts.
During his rookie season, Hutchison was sidelined by a right foot injury in late January 2019. He was assigned to the Bulls’ G League affiliate Windy City Bulls on December 31 of that year during his injury rehabilitation.
Hutchison was acquired by the Washington Wizards in March as part of a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Bulls. He appeared in two playoff games with the Wizards in the 2020-21 postseason.
He was traded by the Spurs on Aug. 6 before he was waived.
