The Cardinals on Friday activated cornerback Robert Alford off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and formally announced the addition of seven more players to the practice squad.
They are: wide receiver Josh Doctson, linebacker Ron’Dell Carter, cornerbacks Rasul Douglas and Antonio Hamilton, defensive linemen Jeremiah Ledbetter and Jonathan Ledbetter and offensive lineman Michal Menet.
Doctson (6-3, 206) was a first-round pick by Washington in the 2016 draft out of TCU. He has played in 34 games (26 starts) and has 81 receptions for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns in his career. He played three seasons for Washington before joining the Vikings in 2019 and then opting out of the 2020 season after signing with the Jets.
Doctson worked out for the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium during a portion of training camp.
Douglas (6-2, 209) is a four-year veteran and a third-round pick by the Eagles in 2017 out of West Virginia. He’s appeared in 60 games (29 starts), which included playing last season for the Panthers, and has 178 tackles, five interceptions and 34 passes defensed. He spent the preseason this year with the Raiders and Texans.
