A Phoenix man died on Monday in a motorcycle accident on Loop 202.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified the man as 33-year-old Russell Cuny.
Cuny was traveling eastbound on Loop 202 near the State Route 143 transition around 10 a.m. in his Honda motorcycle when he lost control and crossed all lanes of traffic, according to DPS spokesperson Bart Graves.
Cuny was ejected from the motorcycle and onto the roadway after hitting the wall on the south side. The motorcycle came to rest in other lanes of traffic, Graves said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS did not release more information.
The collision caused a closure at Loop 202 eastbound at State Route 143 but has since reopened, according to a tweet by the Department of Transportation.
