Arizona State senior golfer Chun An Yu is among the athletes from the NCAA Championships who have earned exemptions to play in the Korn Ferry Tour events through 2021.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level. Those who are on the top 25 of the money list at year’s end are given PGA Tour memberships for the next season.

The exemptions were given for the first time this year through the PGA TOUR University class which rewards players who remained in college, using all their eligibility.

The PGA TOUR University Rankings were finalized after the conclusion of stroke play Monday at the NCAA Championship.at Grayhawk Golf Club.

Yu was the low scorer for ASU in the final round of stroke play on Monday  with a 3-under 67 that moved him up to a tie for 13th place.

In is tenure in Tempe he had three tournament wins and four runner-up finishes.

Others that finished on the top five based on season results and the NCAA championships were Florida State’s John Pak, Georgia’s Davis Thompson, Oklahoma State’s Austin Eckroat and Oklahoma’s Garrett Reband. They will be exempt into all remaining open full-field Korn Ferry Tour events, beginning with the BMW Charity Pro-Am, June 10-13.

The next 10 players will be eligible for Forme Tour events starting with the L&J Golf Championship at Jennings Mill Country Club in Watkinsville, Georgia June 23-26.

Those players are Quade Cummins of Oklahoma, Michael Feagles of Illinois, McClure Meissner of Southern Methodist, Trevor Werbylo of Arizona, Jonathan Brightwell of Oklahoma, Angus Flanagan of Minnesota, Puwit Anupansuebsai of San Diego State, Alex Schaake of Iowa, Benjamin Shipp of North Carolina State and Jovan Rebula of Auburn.
