Devin Booker didn’t have it going Tuesday night.

Turning the ball over. Missing shots. Fouling.

Chris Paul was off, too.

Mikal Bridges didn’t score and Jae Crowder had cooled off considerably from the 8-of-9 first-half eruption from 3 in Monday’s win over Houston.

This can happen on the second of a back-to-back.

This also became an opportunity for Phoenix’s bench to pick up the slack — and it did in leading the Suns to an 106-86 victory over Miami before 5,024 fans at Phoenix Suns Arena to complete a series sweep of the Heat.

The bench racked up a season-high 65 points and plenty of key defensive plays to not only offset Booker’s 4-of-16 shooting night (12 points), but the 21 team turnovers that led to 19 Miami points.

Booker had a game-high six turnovers, Paul scored just five points on 2-of-7 shooting and Crowder finished with only five on 2-of-8 shooting (1-of-6 from 3).

Deandre Ayton posted his 29th double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, but the Suns bench was the difference Tuesday night.

Cam Johnson scored 15 points to lead the reserve rampage. Cameron Payne and Torrey Craig each went for 14 points while Dario Saric added 13, giving the Suns four reserves reaching double figures for the first time since Nov. 27, 2019.

That game ended in a 140-132 loss to Washington when Bradley Beal went for 35.

This time, Phoenix prevailed in winning its third straight in this five-game homestand that continues Thursday against Sacramento (22-32), losers of it last seven games.

With a slim three-point lead Tuesday, Phoenix closed the quarter on a 13-5 run to take a 83-72 lead with Payne, Johnson, Craig, Saric and Jevon Carter.in the game.

By the time Paul and Booker checked in, Phoenix had increased its lead to 15 points, 93-78, with 7:52 remaining in the game.
