A look at who stood out during the week of Dec. 23-28 in Arizona high school boys basketball:
Jovany Featherston, Sierra Vista Buena, G, Sr.
He had 27 points to lead the Colts to a 71-57 victory over Douglas for the championship of the Central Arizona Holiday Classic in Casa Grande. Earlier in the day, he had 15 points in a 52-49 semifinal win over Tempe Marcos de Niza.
Anthony Giliberto, Paradise Valley, F, Sr.
He had 26 points, hitting five 3-pointers, in a 63-48 win over Gilbert Highland in the first round of the McClintock Holiday Shootout. He had 18 points and 17 rebounds in a 55-54 win over Laveen Cesar Chavez in the next round.
Trent Hudgens, Glendale Ironwood, G, Sr.
He averaged 19.5 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 steals, leading the Eagles to the title of the Judy Dixon Tournament.
Dominic Gonzalez, Ironwood, G, Sr.
Averaged 12.5 points, six rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.3 steals in the tournament.
DaRon Holmes, Goodyear Millennium, F, Jr.
He preserved his team’s win over University (West Virginia) with a blocked shot in the first round of the Beach Ball Classic in South Carolina. He had 25 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks.
Makur Maker, Hillcrest Prep, C, Sr.
He was first team All-Tournament of the Chick-Fil-A national tournament, averaging a double-double.
Mike Foster, Hillcrest Prep, F, Jr.
He was MVP of the Chick-Fil-A, averaging a double-double.
Dayton Harris, Mesa Skyline, G, Sr.
He had games of 17, 17 and 16 points with double-doubles in two of them, leading the Coyotes to the final of the McClintock Holiday Shootout.
Tanner Poeschl, Skyline, G, Sr.
He had 24, 12 and 13 points in the first three rounds at McClintock.
Trenton McLaughlin, Chandler Basha, G, Jr.
He had 21 points against Peoria Centennial, 21 against Skyline and 18 against McClintock in the McClintock tournament. This was his first full week back from injury this season.
Owen Shaw, Phoenix Arcadia, G/F, Jr.
He averaged 17 points, shooting 60 percent, leading the Titans to the championship game of the McClintock Holiday Shootout.
Max Majerle, Arcadia, G, Jr.
Averaged 14 points and fie rebounds in four games since hie return from ACL surgery.
Kieran Carr, Arcadia, G, Jr.
Averaged 13 points a game, six rebounds, making 48 percent of his 3-pointers.
Marcus Libman, Phoenix Pinnacle, G, Sr.
He had 25 points, making 6 of 8 3-pointers, in a 7G1-63 win over Glendale Apollo on the first day of the Visit Mesa Challenge.
Grant Weitman, Salpointe Catholic, G, Sr.
He had 24 points and five rebounds in a 66-63 win over Brophy Prep to keep the Lancers unbeaten in the Visit Mesa Challenge.
Dyson Lighthall, American Leadership Queen Creek, F, Sr.
Averaged 20 points, 11 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in three games of the Williams Field tournament, named to all-tournament team.
Eric Blackwell, Tempe Corona del Sol, G, Sr.
He led the Aztecs to a third straight win in the Visit Mesa Challenge with 20 points, including 4 of 6 3s, in a 79-70 win over Mesa Red Mountain. Averaged 20 points in 3-0 showcase week.
Anthony Irvin, Corona del Sol, G, Sr.
Averaged 22 points in the three wins in the Visit Mesa Challenge.
Sunday John, Willow Canyon, G, Sr.
Averaged 18 points, five assists and 4.5 rebounds in the Greenway tournament.
Pike Tancil, Willow Canyon, G, So..
Averaged 15 points and four assists in the tournament.
Jalan Early, Millennium, G, Sr.
He had 15 points, making 4 of 7 3-pointers, in a loss to Long Island (New York) Lutheran at the Beach Ball Classic.
Steven Cervantes, Mesa, G, Jr
He had 24 points against Arcadia, 20 against Desert Mountain and 26 against Highland in 2-1 week at McClintock Shootout.
Terrence Green, Phoenix Carl Hayden, F, Sr.
He averaged 19.5 points and 11 rebounds in two games in the Desert Edge Scorpion Classic.
Tony Elliott, Scottsdale Desert Mountain, F, Jr.
He had 34 points and 10 rebounds in a 66-60 win over Tempe at the McClintock Shootout.
Nicholas Riley, Chandler, F, Jr.
Averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds in the Williams Field tournament. He hit 75 percent of his field goals.
Carson Kelly, Chandler, G, Jr.
Out since Dec. 11 with an injury, he averaged 19.5 points, seven assists and five rebounds in two games.
Miles Guliford, Peoria Liberty, G, Jr.
Made 8 of 9 3-pointers and finished with 30 points in win over Phoenix Central.
Jerry Iliya, Surprise Paradise Honors, G, Sr.
Had 22 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in a 54-49 win over Mercer Island out of Seattle in the Visit Mesa showcase.
Tanner Mayer, Peoria Sunrise Mountain, F, Sr.
He had 25 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in a 100-81 win over St. Peter (Minn.).
