Four people were shot in El Mirage just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police confirmed.
Initial reports said that two women and a man were shot in the 14000 block of North Alto Street, near Thunderbird and El Mirage roads, but El Mirage police later confirmed that four people — two women and two men — were wounded.
All four people were conscious when they were taken to a local hospital, police said.
Initial reports indicated that police were searching the area for at least one suspect, but officials as of 10:30 p.m. did not have anyone in custody.
Information on the victims’ conditions was not immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
