4/28-30: ‘Mix Tape’ | The Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale has sung jazz by Duke Ellington and nuevo tango by Astor Piazzolla this season. For its finale, it invited fans to vote on concert selections. The top vote-getter? Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Other pop selections include the Beatles’ “Blackbird” and James Taylor’s “That Lonesome Road,” but choral aficionados also requested music by Bach and contemporary Irish composer Michael McGlynn.
