Two people were shot Tuesday in a neighborhood near downtown Chandler, police said.

Officers are at two locations involved in the shootings, which occurred about 2:30 p.m., in an area northeast of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, Chandler police said.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in an area near Erie and Colorado streets, police said.

Officers found two people wounded at the location, police said.

The victims were taken to a hospital, but information on their conditions was not immediately available, police said.

Police said officers are investigating a possible suspect vehicle at a second location near Hamilton Street and Chandler Boulevard, which is southeast of the shooting location.
