Chandler police are searching for two men who may be responsible for stealing more than $42,000 worth of jewelry.

On three occasions, between Sept. 28 and Oct. 9, two men stole items from two different Macy’s and at Coffin & Trout Fine Jewelers, police said.

One of the Macy’s is at the Paradise Valley Mall while the other is at Chandler Fashion Center.

The store manager at Coffin & Trout Fine Jewelers, near Ray Road and 56th Street, declined to comment.

One of the men would distract employees while the other man would reach over the counter and steal the jewelry, according to police.

Officials said the duo stole a gold bridal ring set, two diamond rings and a pair of diamond hoop earrings.

Chandler police describe the men as middle-aged and about 6 feet tall.

Chandler police are asking anyone who has information about the men to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
