One person was seriously wounded in a Phoenix shooting on Tuesday evening, police said.

The shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m., at the intersection of 37th and Luke avenues, just north of Missouri Avenue, Sgt. Vince Lewis of Phoenix police said.

Police did not provide any further details about the victim or whether a suspect was being sought.

Officers were at the scene investigating Tuesday night, Lewis said.
