One man was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting at a Tucson bar early Saturday morning, authorities said.

At about 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Lazy V Saloon near Cardinal Avenue and Drexel Road, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

When deputies arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One of them was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, while the other man, 43-year-old Victor Vasquez, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Sheriff’s Department said.

An initial investigation revealed that the shooting occurred after an incident between Vasquez and the injured man, officials said.

No other details were immediately available, and the case was ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting was asked to call 911 or submit an anonymous tip with a potential for reward by going to 88-CRIME.org.
