A woman was seriously injured when she fell off a motorcycle on State Route 51 near Northern Avenue over the weekend, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The woman fell off the back of the motorcycle, according to the Department of Public Safety, which was taking over the investigation. There was no collision with other vehicles.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday evening, and the woman was in extremely critical condition, according to the fire department.
